Kulusuk - 2 days or more All year round

The Kulusuk area is a nature lover's paradise. The island is situated east of the entrance to the spectacular ice filled Ammassalik fjord, where the main settlement of the primitive Ammassalik Inuits was discovered in 1884. Travellers stay at Hotel Kulusuk, which has rooms with private facilities, tv, restaurant, bar, souvenir shop and currency exchange.

Day 1
Flight from Reykjavík domestic airport to Kulusuk. Afterwards check in at Hotel Kulusuk for an overnight stay.

Day 2
Morning at leisure or time for optional excursions. Afternoon flight from Kulusuk to Reykjavík.

Please note:
  • Travel in Greenland is independent travel without guidance, except for optional tours.
  • Optional excursions are booked and paid on site
  • We recommend that our guests bring hand luggage only (preferably a backpack) on this 2 days Kulusuk package.
  • During the shoulder/winter seasons, the flight schedule to/from Greenland is limited - passengers may need to add extra nights to their stay

A note about travelling to Greenland
Greenland offers a somewhat different type of travel experience than you might expect. Its remote location and island status means that virtually all items must be imported; hence, even everyday items cost more than they do even in Iceland or Denmark (which Greenland is a part of).

Also, accommodations tend to be small in size (again, because of high cost of importing building materials), and service often is more relaxed than you will find elsewhere. Still, Greenland is a fascinating and breathtaking destination, and we’re confident that its amazing natural wonders will mitigate any minor inconveniences you may experience during your stay.
