Herríðarhóll is a farm in southern Iceland. The farm is operated by an Icelandic / German couple. Renate was born in Bremen in northern Germany and moved to Iceland in 1996. Arnar was born on the farm. The 2 daughters are brought up bilingually.
The farm has about 100 horses, about 280 ewes (female sheep) and between 25 and 30 milking cows and their offspring, adding up to a total of about 70 cows. In the summer months the farm offers accomodation and horse riding tours as well as informational tours of the life on a farm in Iceland for German speaking groups.
