Although it was raining pretty much constantly during our tour it was a good introduction to the Reykjavik area. The guide was informative and we learned a lot on both the city and Iceland itself. We were even lucky enough to see President Grímsson out for a Sunday morning walk! My only regret was that we didn't stop at the Sun Voyager sculpture along the the coast for a photo or two.

We visited Iceland in September 2012, but did not write a review at that time. Our Reykjavik city tour was wonderful. Even though we had been in Reykjavik for several days before taking this tour, we still saw several new sites, such as the City Hall and The Pearl, which was beautiful with a great view of the entire city. Our tour guide, Linda, was fabulous. Very well-informed, lots of cool stories and was easy to understand. Linda was very patient with all our questions, and even made time to take us to the presidential home and compound. This is a must-do tour if you want to get good ideas of what to see later in the capital.

Unfortunately the morning we took the tour was wet and overcast so visibility was limited. Personally I found the tour guide's commentary bland and uninteresting and he sparked no enthusiasm in me for the sights or history of the city. The vague way that he identified buildings left me unsure of where he was referring to in his commentary. The opportunity to get off the bus and go into buildings was a welcome respite. We partook in two other day trips and this review is based on a comparison.
