PADI Dive Center 19/03/2008
If you are a certified diver, why not combine your tour to Iceland with an exciting dive in the national park Thingvellir! We are proud to offer our guests 3 exciting diving tours in cooperation with our partner, a certified PADI Dive Center, throughout the year 2008.

Our popular Fissure diving and snorkelling tours will continue to operate on a daily basis. Our newest addition is a special DPV Scooter diving tour, which offers 2 different dives. On the first dive you have the chance to step in the footsteps of James Bond by using the DPV scooter to get to David´s ravine , which is located at the bottom of Lake Thingvellir. The other dive is a “normal” wet suit dive, where a mild current helps you swim out the Silfra crack effortlessly.

The diving site Silfra is actually a crack/fissure in the face of the earth between the Eurasian and the American tectonic plates. This unique site offers you the chance to dive the whole year through. The water temperature at Silfra is a constant 1-3° centegrades throughout the year. We provide you with the necessary wet suits and other equipment. All we need from you is your height and weight so that we can have the correct sized suit waiting for you. We recommend that you wear wam undergarments beneath the diving suit and bring extra clothing with you to put on after the dive.

We look forward to welcoming you on one of our diving tours!
